On 8–10 October 2026, the European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education (ENPHE) Forum 2026 took place at Tartu Applied Health Sciences University in Tartu, Estonia.
The international event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milda Žukauskienė, Dean of the Faculty of Health Care at Vilniaus Kolegija / Higher Education Institution (VIKO), and Kristina Žukienė, Lecturer and Head of the Rehabilitation Department.
The main theme of this year’s forum was „Community-Centered Physiotherapy: Bridging Research, Practice, Policy, and Health Technologies in Europe“.
The forum focused on current developments in physiotherapy education, the integration of research and clinical practice, the application of artificial intelligence in physiotherapy education, innovative teaching and learning approaches, pain education, and opportunities for international collaboration.
The programme included keynote presentations, thematic discussions, interactive workshops, and ENPHE working group sessions. Participants had the opportunity to explore emerging trends in European physiotherapy education, exchange professional experiences, and discuss approaches to enhancing the quality of higher education.
Participation in the ENPHE Forum provided valuable insights into contemporary approaches to physiotherapy education and created opportunities to strengthen partnerships with European higher education institutions. The topics addressed during the forum are particularly relevant to curriculum development, the implementation of innovative teaching methods, and the integration of research and clinical practice into physiotherapy education.
