Faculty lecturer Daiva Treznevičiūtė participated in a blended intensive program (BIP) in Belgium

January 25-30 lecturer of the Faculty of Health Care Daiva Treznevičiūtė and five second-year students – Olga Čerčikienė (SL24C), Giedrė Gudelytė-Gudelevičiūtė (KI24), Gabrielė Loveikytė (ER24), Ramunė Tomkutė (ER24), Odeta Baltrėnaitė (ER24) – participated in a blended intensive program (BIP) in Belgium. The lecturer combined this program with a staff mobility for teaching (topic: “Ethical dilemmas in palliative and end-of-life care”). The program was dedicated to the topics of palliative and end-of-life care. It brought together students, lecturers and specialists, working in the field of palliative care, from eleven countries: Belgium, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, Japan, USA, Kosovo. Engaging, informative lectures, numerous workshops, visits to palliative care institutions, and emotional discussions took place. Palliative care and end-of-life care are presented as an interdisciplinary field in which physical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects are equally important.
