On December 9, 2025, the Faculty of Health Care at Vilniaus kolegija hosted a guest lecturer from Cameroon – Paul Christian Tsotie, a specialized nurse in pain and palliative care, Associate Professor at the School of Health Sciences of the Catholic University of Central Africa (ESS-UCAC), and President & Founder of the “SLV” Palliative Care Outpatients & Home Visits Centre, as well as a member of the association Soigner La Vie.
During his visit, the lecturer shared valuable insights on organizing palliative care in Africa, challenges in pain management, and opportunities for international collaboration. Students were introduced to a unique opportunity – volunteering in palliative care centers in Cameroon, contributing to patient care and gaining hands-on experience.
This meeting marks another step in strengthening international cooperation and expanding the horizons of nursing education.
