From May 26 to 30, 2025, lecturers from the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Care, Dr. Simona Paulikienė and Milda Kuskienė, participated in a teaching visit to the René Tostivint Institute of Paramedical Training (French: Institut de Formation des Professions Paramédicales René Tostivint) in Dreux, France. During the visit, the lecturers delivered lectures on pain management and the specifics of nursing care for patients with diabetes, and participated in meetings with the institute’s lecturer and Erasmus+ coordinator Stéphane Bertel, other members of the academic community, as well as with visiting professor Tziaferi Styliani from the University of the Peloponnese (Greece). These meetings included discussions on the nursing education systems in France, Greece, and Lithuania, the structure of nursing studies, and the organization of practical training. Participants also exchanged ideas on student motivation, the importance of developing intercultural competencies, and explored opportunities for further inter-institutional cooperation. During the visit, the lecturers also visited various departments of the Centre Hospitalier de Dreux, where nursing administrators introduced them to the specifics of nursing care organization, documentation practices, and patient care protocols.
We express our sincere gratitude to Erasmus+ coordinator Stéphane Bertel, whose professionalism and warm communication made the visit not only informative but also truly valuable.
